This was made as a complete joke back when my now wife and I first started hanging out. We both were DJs in the St. Louis Electronic Music scene, and were witnessing the beginning of the explosion of dubstep in the USA. We were walking through Gnome Depot for some reason. Walking past the door knob section, she looks at me, and just says “You should make a box with these on it, and call it the Dubstep Box.” So I did. It sold on the internet.

Years later, I was contacted by an indie director, and requested me to make one for their upcoming film project. Surprisingly, I still had a random Excalibur brand cigar box laying around the workshop.
